| Position Responsibilities | You will work closely with our existing team of hydrologists, geomorphologists, and restoration design engineers to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, prepare civil design drawings using AutoCAD, collect and interpret field data and provide engineering oversight on a variety of projects. In any given week, you may: develop a rainfall-runoff model to evaluate hydrologic impacts of a development project, design biotechnical structures to stabilize a stream bank, write a report describing a hydraulic analysis of floodplain restoration; or oversee the collection of field data needed for hydraulic modeling. |
| Requirements |
You must have an M.S. or higher degree in civil engineering or a closely related field with a strong technical foundation in hydrology and hydraulics, and at least two years of consulting experience. A B.S. degree with appropriate experience will be considered. Required technical skills include proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and AutoCAD. Training and/or experience in fluvial geomorphology, field data collection, and/or GIS are desirable.

| Position Responsibilities | You will work closely with our existing team of hydrologists, geomorphologists, and restoration design engineers to carry out studies on shoreline management, flood mapping, beach restoration, tidal inlet analysis, and design of shore and wetland restoration. In any given week, you may be guiding technical analysis of coastal processes for a beach erosion management project; developing a plan for tidal lagoon restoration based on a study of tidal inlet evolution; or presenting results of wave analyses to stakeholders for a tidal wetland restoration project. |
| Requirements |
You must have an MS or higher degree with a strong technical foundation in coastal and estuarine engineering, four or more years of consulting and project management experience, and a P.E. Training and/or experience with Pacific coastal systems and familiarity with the CA regulatory environment are desirable.

| Position Responsibilities | You will work closely with our engineering design team to develop restoration plans, and will be the lead author on reports and presentations. You may work with our coastal processes team on tidal channel flood problems and restorations. In any given week you may be leading an investigation to diagnose the causes of habitat degradation in a large river system, presenting an environmental alternative for a flood management project to a group of stakeholders, supervising a sediment transport study of a dam removal, or putting together a proposal for a river restoration plan. |
| Requirements |
You must have an MS or higher degree with a strong technical foundation in fluvial geomorphology, and four or more years of project management experience. Training and/or specialized experience in sediment transport, hydraulic engineering, and engineering design are all desirable.

| Position Responsibilities | You will work closely with our existing team of hydrologists, geomorphologists, and restoration design engineers to provide hydraulic analysis and design expertise on a wide variety of projects. In any given week, you may develop design criteria for hydraulic structures used in a stream restoration design, lead a hydraulic modeling study of flood hazard at a tidally-influenced river mouth, provide quality control review of the basis of design for a levee project, or develop a scope of work to develop environmental alternatives for a flood control project. |
| Requirements |
You must have a BS or higher degree with a strong technical foundation in hydraulic engineering, specialized experience with natural systems and open channel flow, and a P.E. Extensive familiarity with one-dimensional hydraulic modeling methods and programs is required, and experience with two-dimensional modeling is desirable. Training and/or experience in fluvial geomorphology, hydraulic structure design and flood hazard analysis are all desirable, as are experience with FEMA and USACE projects, methods and regulations. Ideally, you will have prior project management experience in a consulting or government agency setting.
